Quincy’s inaugural Half Marathon Road Race is being held Sunday March 21st beginning at Quincy High School at 9:00.
We hope this is a welcome and positive event for the city. Proceeds benefit the running programs at Quincy Public Schools and the Quincy Track Club.
Please be aware that the race will be coming to roadways near you and to use caution when traveling while the race is in progress.
Public Safety will require some lane closures.
** Coddington Street will be closed between Washington and Southern Artery from 8-12.
** Sea Street will be closed between Southern Artery and Norton between 9:00-9:15
** Quincy Shore Drive northbound will be closed between Furnace Brook and East Squantum from 8:00-10:00 with no parking restrictions in place on Wollaston Beach.
**Other delays could occur at other areas along the course. Street affected are Sea, Norton, Chickatawbot, Shore, E. Squantum, Huckins, Bellevue, Dorchester, Victory, Seaport, Shea, Hancock, (Shea-W.Squantum), W. Squantum, Harvard, Beal, Adams, Hancock, (Adams-City Hall) Washington, (at Coddington)
